I have been looking at my painting of Brazos Bend State Park and questioning if the reeds that were added up close in the picture actually enhance the picture or detract from it. This weekend I decided to paint over the reeds. This was not such an easy task as the reeds were painted over several parts of the picture. I was able to match the colors and proceed to remove the reeds. I must admit I am happier without the reeds than with the reeds. I also adjusted some of the protruding trees so the one was not holding a cloud up like a blimp. And at some level.........I thought I was finished with this picture.
