I have been painting this past month with Bruce Williamson. It was a good month of classes but now it looks like August might be the "summer sabbatical" from painting class. The class last night was a very good class for me. I got some pointers from Bruce on how to improve the two landscapes that I painted on this weekend. I will take his advise and work on some specific suggestions. We worked on painting a "Monochrome Still-Life" with various shades of purple. Then we did add yellow as the compliment of the purple. The resulting painting is shown here. I was pleased with the finished results of this study........although I probably should have placed the subject a little higher on the canvas.
