This past Spring I entered three pictures in the Houston Civic Arts Association juried show. I was absolutely taken by surprise when this picture was selected as First Place Original Oil. This is a small 11 x 14 inch picture. It is a boggy area in the Mercer Arboretum where the sun was shining through and hitting the trees diagonally.
