I was determined to get in some painting time this past weekend. I could have started something new but I have three unfinished 16 x 20 inch paintings that I am determined to bring to some completion. For some reason I feel committed to finish "just" these three.....the other unfinished studies will be covered with gesso or just repainted and toned. The picture I worked on was similar to the one that I had given to my oldest daughter, Leah. However.........she has the better one by far....I have struggled with a few elements in this picture and the posting brings out that the bank on the left and under the bridge is just too dark of a value. I may rework this one in the future.
