A Joint Study

Last night I had my "Third" Painting Lesson with Bruce Williamson. Bruce is one of those truly amazing teachers. With a few brush stokes he can correct some very bad parts of a painting. I think of this as a Manager at a Salon who can "fix bad haircuts." I started blocking in and painting the set up in his studio. My drawing skills are not my strong suit, so I was relatively happy with my results. My picture was very flat and had no depth. Bruce worked over my silver pitcher and put the reflections into the blue vase..........and here is the finished picture. I would call this study a joint collaboration. To sum things up: I actually "learned" a few things in class and still had fun.
