I went to Sugarland and wanted to get some pictures of the refinery. I was unaware that there was a move to actually take down this building. The photos that I am painting from are from a rather hazy overcast day that did not put alot of shadows in. I am tempted to change the blue sky and see how this would look. On the whole I like this painting. I actually enjoy painting industrial settings almost as much as I have enjoyed painting swamps and bridges. Hope you enjoy.
