I did not sign up for classes at the Art League this semester I felt that taking some time off and focusing on developing my own style was more important. I did volunteer to oversee an open painting session at Houston Civic Arts Association on Thursday Evenings. Let me clarify my function. I open the studio and whomever wishes to paint is welcome to attend. This Thursday was the first evening. I was pleased with the work I accomplished and I was the only one there so it was "solitary painting". I took the opportunity to rework a piece that I had done in a LaNell Arndt workshop. The trees and skyholes needed alot of help.........the picture looks much better and I am looking forward to painting again next Thrusday.
